Manual handling

Poor manual handling and consequent musculoskeletal disorders are an issue in every workplace where employees are required to carry heavy goods and packages. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (MHOR) require employers to manage the risks to their employees and ensure their health.

This Manual Handling eLearning Module will enable the user to understand what is needed in order to manually handle goods with care, best ways of carrying heavy loads and how to move them from a place to the other. The course will give the user an understanding of how to prevent musculoskeletal disorders resulting from poor manual handling practice.

Course overview

Study time is 30 minutes, with the ability to stop and start when required (within a 90 day unrestricted access period).
PC/Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone with an internet connection and a webcam is all that is required to study.
Trainee photograph added to certificate on completion for unique authentication.
