Contactless card payment limit to rise to £45

30 March 2020

From the 1st April, the spending limit on contactless card transactions will be increased from £30 to £45. There are real concerns over the spread of coronavirus and this increase to £45 will reduce the handling of cash, and also reduce queues as contactless payments are much faster to process.
