For the fourth year running, Suresite held a charity bake off yesterday in support of the MacMillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Home-made cakes were provided by staff, friends and family and each staff member was encouraged to taste and choose their two favourites.
It was a very difficult choice indeed with a wide range on offer, including some delightful chocolate cup-cakes with cheeky individual faces, a tasty crumble, banoffee pie and a beautifully decorated M and M cake.
Voting cards which had been handed out to the staff earlier, were collected and collated, after much deliberation and the results announced later in the afternoon by CFO Martin Eastwood.
The most popular cakes of the day turned out to be vanilla slices and a lemon drizzle cake.
Martin handed out prizes for the winning two which included a set of miniature baking dishes and a large traditional ceramic mixing bowl.
The cost of tasting and voting was £1 per person and the cakes were later sold by the slice, resulting in a total collection of £170.
