Suresite chair Geoff Oldham was delighted to present sales and marketing director Keith Bevan with his CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management & Leadership.
Keith has been working towards the masters level accreditation for over a year, passing practical workplace-based modules including financial planning, project management, HR, marketing strategy, performance management and CSR.
Suresite is committed to providing employees with the training they need to excel in their roles. Training needs across all levels of the business are identified during monthly reviews, one-to-ones and annual reviews.
Accredited leadership and management training is provided for every supervisor within the business. There are currently eight employees working towards ILM Level 3 and all five department managers have now successfully achieved CMI Level 5.
Geoff said: “We actively encourage time out of the business for training and we have three pods that provide a quiet area for study. Employees are given time out during the working day to complete their homework.
“Each of our team members who become a candidate is encouraged to bring as much learning back in to the business and not be afraid to share ideas. This has led to us improving our standards under ISO 9001, introducing a CSR strategy and working with the DTI to plan our export opportunities.”
Keith said: “This CMI qualification has helped me to work at a more strategic level and has allowed me to view my potential to help Suresite to grow with a fresh and clearer perspective.
“As a company director, I strongly believe it is the role of the employer to facilitate the personal development of its employees; not just for the company’s benefit but also for their own sense of self, growth and satisfaction”.
