Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning 2015
Suresite staff have had a busy week baking in time for the Macmillan Coffee Morning 2015 which took place earlier this week. The nationwide fundraising event raises huge amounts of money every year to support the 2.5 million people currently living with cancer in the UK. We were keen to get involved this year and the day did not disappoint.
Each department baked their very own cake which meant we had more cakes then we could possibly eat in a week (not for trying!). To add a little friendly rivalry on the day we asked recently retired Cards Operations Manager Peter Ward (you can read more about Peter’s retirement here) to be the blind judge in our ‘best cake’ competition. While it wasn’t exactly as robust of a judging process as Bake Off, the Health and Safety department were nonetheless happy to take the Winners title on the day.
Throughout all the cake eating we managed to raise a grand total of £123.00 for the fantastic cause. A big thank to you to all the staff for their brilliant baking efforts and generous donations.
